Eye Candy Quilts

designer

Brenda Reid and Anneliese Johnson are a dynamic stitching mother daughter duo.
They live in southeastern Nebraska and started designing quilt patterns under the
name Eye Candy Quilts in 2010.

Brenda has lived all over the United States and Western Europe. Each move exposed
her to new influences and places to explore, including local quilt guilds and
museums. Brenda was fascinated with history. She loved learning about people’s
everyday lives, especially how they crafted and created textiles on a daily basis.

Anneliese grew up in Brenda’s sewing room. One of her earliest memories is
stitching buttons onto scraps of old curtain fabric. She eventually went to college to
be a fashion designer and play with fabric full time. Fashion didn’t stick. Quilts did.

Nobody’s Poet Pattern by Eye Candy Quilts

77″ x 77″

What happens when you try to feather a shape that isn’t a star? How about a feathered X? It turns out that it’s much easier but with all of the wow factor. In the words of the Pina Colada song, “though I’m nobody’s poet, I thought it wasn’t half bad.”
