Karie Jewell

Karie has been quilting for 27 years and designing since the beginning! Karie’s friend had taken a hand piecing/quilting class in 1991 and showed Karie a rotary cutter, mat and ruler. Karie never imagined that patterns where available so she taught her self how to draft patterns and fabric requirements. Since then, she’s taught herself a lot more and written over 80 patterns. She describers her style as Traditional with a Modern Twist. She loves saturated colors and Alison Glass fabrics.
She enjoys English Paper Piecing and Hand quilting occasionally, and only cooks and cleans when she absolutely has too!

Karie survived a very aggressive type of Breast Cancer and is grateful to still quilt and design everyday.
